Privacy Policy
Effective September 26, 2026
This policy explains what Reely collects, why, where it goes, how long we keep it, and how you delete it.
Who we are
Reely is an iOS app made and run by Freddy Edwin Ñañez Choque, an individual developer based in Lima, Peru, who is the seller of Reely on the App Store. In this policy, “Reely,” “we” and “us” mean him. For any question about your data, email freddy@loopmind.lat.
The short version
- Reely takes a video you pick, cuts it, and gives it back to you. That is the only thing we use your data for.
- No ads. No tracking across other apps or websites. No analytics SDK.
- We don’t sell your data or share it for advertising.
- Your cut is made by our own software on our own servers. No outside AI company receives your videos, your voice or your transcripts, and we don’t use them to train AI models.
- You can delete your account and everything in it from inside the app.
What we collect, and why
Things you give us
- The video you pick, its picture and its sound, including your face and voice and anyone else who appears in it. You choose it with the iOS photo picker and it uploads to our servers. Reely only sees the videos you pick, not your whole library. Why: to make your cut.
- Your edits, which parts you keep or remove. Why: to render the version you want.
- Support messages you email us. Why: to answer you.
Things we create from your video
- The audio track, pulled out of your video, so it can be transcribed.
- A transcript with word-level timings, to find silences, filler words and repeated takes.
- The rough cut and the rendered cut, which are the product you asked for.
Things the app and our servers record
- An account ID. Reely creates a guest account for your device automatically, so you don’t need to sign up. Why: to keep your videos and purchases attached to you.
- Purchase status: whether you have an active plan, what you bought, and when it renews. Why: to give you what you paid for. Apple handles the payment itself, and we never see your card number.
- A push notification token, only if you allow notifications. Why: to tell you when your cut is ready. Reely works without notifications.
- Server logs: the time of each request, which part of the service it called, whether it worked and how long it took. Why: to keep the service running and fix problems. Our logs don’t record your IP address, your sign-in token, or anything from your video.
What we don’t do
- No advertising and no ad networks.
- No tracking. We don’t track you across other companies’ apps or websites, and we don’t use Apple’s advertising identifier.
- No selling or sharing. We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are used in California law.
- No biometric identifiers. Transcription turns speech into words and timings. It doesn’t create a voiceprint, identify who is speaking, or map face geometry.
- No AI training on your content. We don’t use your videos, audio, transcripts or edits to train or tune any AI model, ours or anyone else’s.
- Do Not Track. Because Reely doesn’t track you across other apps or websites, there is nothing for a Do Not Track signal to turn off, and Reely works the same whether or not one is sent.
How your cut is made, and where
Everything runs on software we operate on our own servers. Open-source speech recognition turns the speech in your video into words, a forced aligner times each word, and our own rules decide what to cut. No outside speech-to-text or AI company receives your video, audio or transcript.
Reely is operated from Peru. Our servers, and the companies listed below, may process your data in countries other than yours. We protect it as this policy describes wherever it is processed.
Who we share data with
Only with service providers that help us run Reely, and only what each one needs:
- Apple processes your purchases, subscriptions and refunds through the App Store, and delivers notifications if you turn them on.
- RevenueCat, Inc. keeps track of your subscription status for us. It receives your Reely account ID and your purchase history.
- The company that hosts our servers stores the data described above that lives on our servers.
- Expo’s push service relays the “your cut is ready” notification, only if you turn notifications on. It receives your push token and the notification text.
We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect someone’s safety, or to investigate fraud or abuse.
How long we keep it
- Everything from a video (the upload, its audio, the transcript, the cut decisions and the rendered cuts) is deleted automatically 30 days after you last worked on that video, or sooner if you delete your account. Reely isn’t an archive, so save your finished cut to Photos.
- Server logs are kept only as long as we need them to run the service and fix problems.
- Purchase records are kept by Apple under its own policy.
Deleting your data
In the app: Settings → Delete account. This deletes your account and everything tied to it on our servers, including source videos, audio, transcripts, edits and cuts. The app confirms when the deletion is done.
- Deleting your account doesn’t cancel a subscription. Apple bills you, so cancel through Apple: iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions. The app reminds you, with a button to do it, before you delete.
- Deleting the app from your phone doesn’t delete your account on our servers. Use Delete account.
- To see or correct your data, or to get a copy, email freddy@loopmind.lat with the subject “Privacy request.”
Your privacy rights in US states
Depending on where you live, state law may give you the right to know what personal information we have about you and get a copy, to correct it, to delete it, to opt out of its sale, of “sharing” for targeted advertising and of profiling (we do none of those), and not to be treated differently for using these rights. To make a request, email freddy@loopmind.lat with the subject “Privacy request.” We may need to confirm the request comes from you. If we turn it down, you can appeal by replying to our answer.
We do not sell or share personal information, and we have not done so in the past 12 months.
Children
Reely is for people 18 and older. It isn’t directed to children, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you think someone under 18 has given us personal information, email freddy@loopmind.lat and we’ll delete it.
Videos can show other people, including children. Only upload video you have the right to use, with permission from the people in it, and for a minor, from a parent or guardian.
Security
Data travels between the app and our servers encrypted (HTTPS). Access to the servers is limited to the developer, and your sign-in credential on your phone is stored in the iOS Keychain. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your personal information, we’ll notify you as the law requires.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy we’ll update the effective date above. If a change is significant, such as collecting a new kind of data or sharing it with a new kind of company, we’ll tell you in the app before it takes effect and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
